As your body experiences trauma, repetitive stress, injury, poor posture, scar tissue, inflammatory reactions and life stressors, restritions in one area of the body can affect the whole body. The restrictions create pain and stiffness, making it difficult for you to move and prohitibs you from doing those things you love to do.
Mayofascial Release
This is a very effective, hands-on, interactive technique that provides stretching, compression, and sustained pressure into restricted areas of fascia (connective tissue) in the body to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Since the emotions are also stored in the fascia, releasing the tissue physically can often release emotions stored there from the original trauma. When the emotions connected with the original trauma are released, so are the holding patterns contributing to the current syptoms.
Craniosacral Therpapy
This practice is a very gentle and non-invasive form of massage that works with the cranial bones, the spinal column, and the sacrum to relieve stress in the body as well as balance the flow of cranial sacral fluid. This form of therapy is so gentle that it is commonly used on infants and elderly.
